For this assignment we took photos demonstrating these techniques and learned the definitions of each principle of design. BalanceWhen different parts of an image draw the viewer's attention equally, the image is considered to be balanced. MovementMotion blur is the apparent streaking of moving objects in a photograph or a sequence of frames, such as a film or animation. Repitition/RhythmWhen you repeat a certain size or shape or color you add strength to the overall image. EmphasisEmphasis is defined as an area or object within the artwork that draws attention and becomes a focal point. SimplicityA photograph with a clear message can be as effective as possible; its composition, colors, subject matter, and lighting all add to the impression that you are trying to convey. ContrastDifference between elements. ProportionProportion in photography is usually comparing size of objects, or the amount of one thing to the whole SpaceThe rule of space in photography is simply the act of adding visual space in front of the direction that an object is moving, looking or pointing to imply motion and direction and to lead the eye of the viewer. UnityUnity is taking the parts of a piece of art and unifying them in to something better as a whole. In summary, this assignment helped us learn the different techniques of design and ways to capture photos. Overall this was a good practice in learning the different principles of design. I think that this was a good assignment for us to start off with because I haven't taken creative photos like this in a while.

Welcome back! I'm continuing my journey with Digital Photography II. This trimester I want to get back into taking unique pictures and getting better at photography in general. It'll take a bit for me to get back into this because I haven't taken photography in over a year but I'm looking forward to it!
